I officially decided to begin a real quilting project! But due to my limited time, money, and patience I chose to start small with just a table runner. But being the Ballsy little sewing newbie that I am, I wasn't content simply following someone else's clearly laid out directions. Instead I decided to mash together two completely different tutorials and I must say I am not the least bit disappointed.
I used

this super intelligent tutorial on how to very easily make chevron rows
I used a Jelly Roll that I found in a clearance bin at walmart, it was $3 how could I say no? (Actually i said no to a lot more of them in the bin and now I'm really kicking myself. I just didn't know what a crazy deal it was)
